Vivian Izora Wells Hibbs, 79, of Salt Lick Community, Mannington, died Tuesday (May 20, 2008) at her residence. She was born Nov. 6, 1928, at Mannington, a daughter of the late Mary Ellen Hunter Wells and William D. and Mildred Wells.She is survived by her four children, Linda Darlene Mays of Rachel, Larry R. Hibbs of Mannington, Karen Sue Porter and husband William C. “Butch” Porter of Farmington and Randy Hibbs and wife Debbie of Akron, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Charles Mays and Ronald Mays of Rachel, Harold Mays II of Farmington, Tina and Larry Anderson of Farmington, Chucky Porter of Farmington, Anna Waddell of Farmington, Katie Hibbs of Charleston and Randy Hibbs, Jr. of Akron, Ohio; and several great grandchildren.Izora was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ and enjoyed attending when she was able. She loved going camping and to yard sales. She enjoyed embroidery and watching television, especially Channel 09. She also enjoyed talking on the telephone.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert R. “Rudy” Hibbs on Jan. 1, 1994; two half brothers, Basil and Jim Dawson, one grandchild, William C. Porter II; and one son-in-law, Harold “Crook” Mays.Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Evangelist Michael P. Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
